Don't be afraid to throw it you can reclaim them unlike arrows. And they're also cheap to make. I usually run with 10 Dragon Bone javelins. Them in shortsword both base off agility so you should be good to go. Whirlwind blades are fun, but little damage. If you want spin to win go str build with axe and throwing axe.
